Magnetic Field Lines of a Levitron Ring Magnet - Part 1

Part 1:  A preliminary look at the Magnetic Lines of the Levitron, a large ring magnet. 

We are in the process of building a large magnetic field line viewer specifically for this Levitron to view the field lines of a large ring magnet.

Here we are looking at how iron oxide behaves around a ring magnet without a suspension medium.  We have several Magnetic Flux Line Viewers made with different iron oxides, different suspension mediums and even some UV glowing magnet line displays.
